From the Owners
"Before the establishment of Superior Sheet Metal, Jake & Betty Glenn owned what used to be known as Quality Sheet Metal in the exact location we are in today. Our long time customers know how incredibly great people they were. David Wiest, my father, was a long time employee (also like a son) of Jake and was trained in the sheet metal industry for about 20 years...then came Superior Sheet Metal Fabrications. Superior started in 2000 in our little garage at home in Dandridge, TN and was ran by my parents.
As a child, I would always come see what Jake & Betty did in the office, but seeing the work that was actually done in our garage put a little bit more perspective into my 5 year old little mind. I would consistently watch the guys and how they fabricated certain things. Math was a pretty strong subject of mine, so I would help my mom with bookkeeping and learning hands on.
In 2005, David bought Jake out and moved the business into his building, where we are today in North Knoxville. Summer time or closed school holidays, is when I would spend time learning. In 2012, my husband, Peyton, was hired on. We both continued to learn and grow into where we are today.
Moving forward, David retired at the end of 2021. Peyton and I bought the business from him and currently own and operate the business. We hope that our children will fall into the business one day and continue on the family tradition that we have carried through the years. Occasionally, you may see their little faces greet you at the door if you stop in. We enjoy working with all of our customers and are very grateful for those that choose a small business like ours."
